And now for two stories of mice. Movie watching mice.
Rag told me what happened to him the other day, so I thought I'd put it up.
He was out with Charmeleon, Pichu and Snover, and was going past along a rough, rocky track. They were all having fun, until Charmeleon's head jerked up, and he paused. He turned to look at a clump of small boulders by the side of the road, and growled. A jogger ran by, ignoring the rocks and Rag's team, but Rag had been exposed to too much distortion energy to not notice the changes. One of the boulders shifted, and suddenly, they attacked, three Geodude, each leaping at one of Rags!
'Snover! Razor Leaf!'
Snover shot leaves at his opponent, and as Charmeleon dodged a rock throw, Rag ordered him to use metal claw. Pichu was quivering, tapping his tail on the floor nervously while it flickered and sparked. He ran from Geodude, looking scared, and let out a cry as a rock was thrown at him.
The rock exploded, turning to dust as Charmeleon struck it with a metal claw, having leapt to Pichu's defense. A rock slammed into him from behind, making him roar with fury as he was slammed to the ground.
'Charmeleon! Snover, Icy Wind!'
A gust of cold air weakened Charmeleon's attacker, as well as finishing off Snover's. Charmeleon got up, groaning, and as Pichu slammed his tail into the ground again, this time starting to glow a pale silvery colour, one of the remaining Geodude's started to tremble. Charmeleon grabbed Pichu and threw him into the air. The ground shook, as Charmeleon was toppled by magnitude. He looked at Geodude, raised a trembling claw, and then it dropped, as his eyes closed.
Geodude turned to Snover, but looked up, hearing a cry. Pichu descended, his tail glowing a bright silver, a metallic sheen passing over him. With a yell of tiny, adorable fury, his tail struck Geodude. As Pichu bounced off and landed, the Geodude reeled, spinning. Pichu hit him with a still glowing tail, sending him rolling into the other remaining Geodude like a bowling ball. Pichu struck him one more time, while Snover hit the other with more razor sharp leaves.
All the living boulders were defeated. Pichu was pulling at Charmeleon's arm, straining to get him up. He lost his grip and tumbled backwards, ending in him sitting and looking at Charmeleon, worried. Rag healed him up, and came back and told us about it.
My story is much shorter and less interesting, but has useful long term information.
After the aforementioned distortion wave, I found there was a small boulder in the alley outside, blocking access between the base and the main road. Useful for privacy, but not great for getting in and out. Rattata had a solution. Turns out Iron Tail works quite a lot like a pick-axe, or, importantly, Rock Smash! No annoying HM of little damage that cant be forgotten for us!
I have always hated Rock Smash, so I'm pleased by this. Makes sense though. Steel is super-effective against rock, and all the little boulders in the games are basically just rocks. Hurray!
