The other adventure

Hey, this is Ragnarok. Let me finally fill you in on what happened while Tempest's group was in Brighton.

Before Kirlia beamed him away, Tempest had used the DSDex to find out where we needed to get to. We'd been pointed in the direction of the fitzwilliam museum, so we set off.
More and more people are noticing Pichu now, but most of Cambridge have seen, or at least heard about, our little group, so hardly anyone that saw him was surprised, and there were even a few cheers!
We arrived outside the museum, and saw Brock on the steps, overseeing a group of men in white coats carrying boxes and various bits of scientific equipment inside.
'Hey guys! Looks like there's nothing to worry about on this one. Meet the scientists, researchers, and experts of Pewter Museum. The main lab just came through one of those disturbances. '
I looked where he was pointing, and saw a large area of tiled floor lying at an angle on a grassy area next to the museum. Workbenches and shelves were strewn about, thrown by what had clearly been a crash landing.
'The nice folk here have offered us a room to set up in. We're hoping that both sides can learn a lot from this partnership. We want to learn more about your world, and we're going to share our research and technology from our world.'
We helped them move some of the stuff in, told them where they could get new beakers and jars (All the ones they had broke in the crash) and marveled at Happiny carrying a large machine inside all on her own. We saw that inside the Fitzwilliam now seemed much bigger, like the museums in the games, TARDIS-like, with far too much building inside to fit into the outside. Looks like Brock and his scientists would have plenty of room to work anyway.
We had just come out from being shown the new lab, and were heading down the steps, when a figure in a large black coat barged past me.
'Blackmage!'
'Move it losers! I have business to attend to in there.'
'Like what?'
'I need something....fixing. Now that there are more scientists here, there is a chance someone can help.'
He pulled the brim of his hat down, and continued up.
We were distracted from following him to investigate by our phones ringing. All three of our phones. At exactly the same time.
We all checked to see exactly the same message:
DANGER DANGER VHS FRIEND UNITS REQUIRED AT ONCE RAID IN PROGRESS
Porygon!'
We rushed off, and reached the street with our alley on just in time to see two people coming out of it. There was a man carrying Tempest's computer, and a woman dragging a net containing all Glaceon's siblings!
I could tell at once they were part of the same group as the man at our old school. They were both wearing black costumes with silver belts and shoes, and both had fin thing on their arms. The man had spiky white hair with a silver sweatband round his head, and the woman had silvery blue hair that ended in a point, a bit like Jessie's.
'Ha!' The man laughed. 'The fools! Off fighting in Brighton, while we take everything we need! Nobody can stop us now!'
'Yeah, you'd think, but no.'
'What!? What are you doing here!?'
'Seriously? There are seven of us. Did you really think we'd ALL go off to Brighton if two alerts went off at once?'
The woman jabbed the man in the ribs. 'Told you!'
'Then we shall just have to teach you a lesson about interfering!'
Hitching the computer under one arm, he pulled three balls from his pocket, opening them.
A stunky, a Poochyena, and an Ariados were released, as the woman released three of her own.
Zigzagoon, Numel and Qwilfish.
We sent out two each.Charmeleon leapt at Ariados, and Snover went for Qwilfish. Onix loomed over Numel, Pidgey dived at Zigzagoon, and Hitmonchan struck at Stunky. Poochyena was running at Riolu, who was looking at his first real opponent fearfully. Closing his eyes, he stuck a paw out in front of him defensively. Poochyena charged forwards, but as soon as the tip of it's nose had made contact with Riolu's paw, the paw glowed ever so slightly, and Poochyena was sent flying into a wall. Riolu opened one eye cautiously, and stared at what he'd done. Giving a little chuckle, he headed over to Poochyena to finish up.
Happiny had made her way over to the man. She stamped on his foot, and he let out a yell, dropping the computer. She caught it, and sped off towards the base. Pichu had run over to the net, and was trying to cut it open with Iron tail. The woman saw and snarled. 'Leave it, tiny!' She sneered, and kicked him. I let out a yell as he soared through the air, and leapt, catching him mid-flight, protecting him as we crashed to the ground. I got up, groaning.
'You sick cow! You're going to regret doing that!'
'Oh really? Why?'
'Because a pattern is emerging. Everytime someone is mean to Pichu-'
A red blur shot past, slamming her to the floor.
'- that happens.'
Ariados was lying collapsed in a corner, smoking. I fed Pichu a berry, and went to cut open the net. The Eevees and Eeveelutions rushed out, and helped finish the fight, including a heavy assault on the strange man. Like the women in brighton, they vanished in a ripple of pinkish points of light once they'd lost, along with Ariados and the others. What the hell is that anyway?
That's it really. Bye for now!

Divide and Conquer

We had two alerts at the same time, so we split up. Kirlia dropped Me, Sammy, Doom and Maelstrom in Brighton, while Ragnarok, Jonny and Don looked into the one in Cambridge. I'm sure they'll let you know how they got on, but this is me detailing the Brighton adventure.
Enjoy.
I still don't like teleporting, and felt a bit ill when we arrived, so I had some lemonade while the others looked round. It seems that a side effect of the shard is that I now gain some of the healing effects of water and soft drinks, etc. Who knows, maybe I'm becoming part Palkia? That could be useful.
Sammy pointed towards a street that sloped down towards the sea. 'I reckon it's over there'
We followed her gaze and saw a dark purple cloud looming over the seafront, with bolts of energy blasting from the roof of a building.
'You may be right.'
Off we ran. Quite a few people were giving us strange looks now, the number of people that can see the truth about what's happening keeps going up. More and more people knew that the butterfly fluttering along by my shoulder was far too big, and that my dog was considerably too blue.
We had got close enough to notice that the source of the energy was a figure standing on top of the roof, when they turned to see us. Letting out a yell, they gestured, and the purple cloud began to descend towards us. As it got closer, we saw it was in fact hundreds and hundreds of bats. Zubat, Golbat, Crobat, Woobat, Swoobat, all swooping down on us. And they were all surrounded by a dark, shadowy Aura.
'What the hell are those fluffy ones?!'
'Urgh am I the ONLY one here who's played Black and White?! They're Woobat and Swoobat. Psychic instead of Poison.'
'Right.'
'Got it.'
'Pfft, they don't look so tough...'
The swarm descended, blocking out the sky as they closed in. I gulped, and took a fortifying sip of Lemonade. Dratini poked his head out of my bag, and let out a squeak of terror.
Glaceon and Rattata took that as their signal. Shooting from my side and leaping from my shoulder, they dived into battle. I lost sight of Rattata almost immediately, his own purple lost amongst the see of purple bats. Glaceon was firing off Ice Beams, each one bringing a frozen bat crashing down, only to have it's space replaced by another enemy.
It had started. We followed their lead.
'Butterfree, Confusion! Chatot, use Fury Attack!'
'Gloom, Acid! Clefairy use Doubleslap!'
'Ok Squirtle, use Whirlpool!'
'You know what to do Bulbasaur. UNLEASH HELL!'
'Dratini-'
'tiiiiii!'
'Ok,ok, hang back for a bit. It's ok, you don't have to fight if you don't want to.'
I lifted my right arm, looking at Joltik. 'You ready?'
'Jolti!'
I pointed him at a group of bats. 'Spider web! Thunderwave! Screech!'
The web caught three, sending the bundle falling to the ground, two were struck by the thunderwave, and the cone of high-pitched sound that fired deep into the swarm hit them hard, causing it to rain bats. Being super vulnerable to sound worked out REALLY badly for them.
Clefairy kept having to jump to grab a low flying bat before using Double Slap, but Gloom seemed to be doing okay against a group of woobat. Bulbasaur had a constant stream of leaves flying from his bulb as his vines worked furiously, smacking foes hard as they tried to get near. Squirtle had at least seven trapped in a whirlpool, but there were just too many. We were slowly forced towards the beach, but looking up through a brief tunnel of clarity a screech attack got me, I saw the figure on the roof better. It was a young woman with silver hair, a black headband and uniform, and one of those flat fin things on her arm.
'Oh great, she's one of those.'
'Those what?'
'That woman on top of the building, she's got one of those fin things. Like that bloke we fought when you first showed up Doom. That explains the shadowy aura on the bats anyway.'
Doom scowled. 'Right, I'm stopping this at the source. Bulbasaur, hold them off with Rock Throw while I deal with this.'
'Oh come on Doom, you can't expect us to believe Bulbasaur knows-'
But Bulbasaur knew what he was doing. Vines spinning wildly, he began hurling as much pebbly beach as he could reach. Pebbles slammed into bats, knocking them from the sky and sending them crashing into each other, the ground, the sea, it was raining purple monsters.
'Huh. Nice going Bulbasaur.'
I was going to ask Butterfree to accompany Doom to make sure she got through ok, but I saw her poke one in the eyes and punch another in the face as she set off, so I figured she'd be ok.
The swarm was getting angrier now, and were swooping down to strike us. Maelstrom had his arms over his head in defence, so didn't see a crobat barrel into him from behind. He was knocked forwards, and toppled over the edge of one of the beaches curved banks. He slid down with the noise of a small avalanche. I tried to get down to help, but my path was immediately blocked.
'Screech!'
It wasn't enough. There were always more. I caught sight of Rattata in the distance, a fiery missile hitting foe after foe, and Glaceon catching six in a blast of Icy wind.
'Come on Dratini, please, we need you!'
Dratini poked his head out of my bag and looked up at the huge cloud of shadowy creature's and trembled, but at the sight of Butterfree being slashed at, and floating slowly to the ground, exhausted, he frowned.
'Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!'
I love Twister. It tore through the bats, gathering them up and sending them hurtling round and round the vortex, slamming into each other, pebbles, shards of ice, and Razor Leaves. But the twister was getting full, and there were still bats free, and coming for us.
'Quick! Boost it with Whirlpool!'
I looked round. Maelstrom had made it back up the slope. He smiled at me, rubbing an injured arm. 'You ok?'
'I will be.'
Squirtle's attack was merging with Dratini's, making it bigger, stronger. Now filled with water, the huge, twisting spout of water proceeded to suck in the remaining bats. We were just celebrating as it moved out to sea, taking them away, when our attention was drawn to a yell above us. We all gazed up at the roof the woman had been on. Doom had joined her now, and we all saw......what happened next. Basically, Doom was angry at the woman. The woman was angry at being disturbed. Fighting happened. The woman stumbled backwards. She ran out of roof. Screaming, she plummeted, but was consumed by glowing particles of pink light before she hit the ground.
That's about it really. Kirlia brought us back and we heard about what happened here while we were away. As will you, soon.

Happy New Year!

Hello again, and Happy New Year from all of VHS. Had a good Christmas? Let me fill you in on some of the stuff that happened to us....

Big news first. Remember AGES ago, Don was given an egg? Well, it FINALLY hatched! It hadn't done a lot of travelling, so I guess it took a long time to get enough steps clocked, but Don is now the proud carer of a Riolu! Still only level 1, and a little nervous, but very happy, and keen to join in all the action. Ragnarok's really jealous that Don, who has no knowledge on Gen 4 at all has such a rare Pokémon, but he's happy for him too.
We were decorating the base for Christmas, with the sounds of Slade filling the air, when I heard another voice joining in. I wandered past Bulbasaur, using vines to lift Pichu so he could put the star on the tree, ducked under a loop of tinsel being swept towards a wall by Butterfree and Pidgey, stepped over Squirtle, spinning across the floor, polishing it with Bubble, with Vaporeon washing away the soap, caught a Bauble thrown by Maelstrom, and chucked it to Sammy, who helped Gloom hang it on the tree. I asked if they knew who was singing, but they both shrugged. Making it outside, I saw Doom and Rag decorating the front of the old shop. Glaceon and Snover were on the roof, sending burst after burst of snow into the air, with Icy Wind spreading it out across the city, covering Cambridge in a soft blanket of snow. Rag looked over at me, and jerked a head at the roof opposite. 'You can hear him from inside then?'
I peered up, and saw the Chatot that had evaded us months ago, perching on the edge of the roof, doing it's best to learn the words and tunes coming from inside. The song changed to 'I believe in Father Christmas' as I watched, and Chatot started trying to learn that one, ignoring us completely. I grinned, and raised my right arm, aiming my wrist.
'What ARE you doing?' Doom had paused, halfway through helping Dratini and Flareon stick a reindeer motif to the window.
'Trying to catch Chatot. Always thought they were cool. Ready Joltik?'
'Jolti!'
'Thunder wave!'
Chatot was hit by the thin tendril of electricity, and froze, one wing half raised, beak open in song. looking round for the source of the trouble, it focused on us, and tried it's best to swoop down towards us, it rocked a couple of few times, until it pitched over the edge and plummeted towards us.
'Spider web!'
It was pinned to the wall, and we then hit it with leech life. The paralysis wore off, and it struggled inside the web, cutting itself free with beak and talons. I needed harder hitting moves, and fast. Dratini jumped at Chatot, wrapping himself round, using, well, Wrap. Chatot used Mirror Move, hitting Dratini with leech life, and he let go in surprise, but had managed some damage. Chatot started to fly off, but Dratini frowned, and let out a cry. A twister whirled into being around Chatot, and any attempt by him to escape was stopped by another Spiderweb from Joltik. Chatot couldn't break free while caught in the Twister, and was thrown back at us, skidding to a stop at my feet. I dropped a Pokéball, and it sprang open, pulling Chatot in. It rocked a few times, but Chatot was caught! Yay!

We invited Brock over between Christmas and New Year, and he told us that Blackmage had been to the museum, and spoken to one of the fossil experts, so there's a good chance that whatever was hidden inside the fossil he 'won' (stole), he's woken it up now. I still say it looked like a broken Dome fossil, but whatever...

Kirlia's getting really worried about the future we saw. I keep pointing out we have a lot of time to sort it out, because in that Jonny had a Blissey, and Happiny shows no signs of evolving yet, and we've clearly met far more legendaries by then, but she still keeps going off to talk to this Moira person all about it. Ah well, we're doing what we can.

Maelstrom now has access to the vast number of TM's and HM's at the base, so Squirtle DOES now know Whirlpool! Could prove very useful in future.

That'll do for now, have fun, and I'll try and update again soon!

And thus, the trinity is complete.

Me and Doom got a friend involved from Uni involved this morning, there was an outbreak and we and our Pokémon were hurt from fighting, so we took refuge at his place. I needed to scan his bed with the DSDex to make it do the 'do do do do dooo!' healing thing, so we filled him in while sitting there being healed. We revealed it was us that had been fighting back whenever trouble rose, why it was happening, the rest of the group, the lot. He was thrilled, and wanted to join. Turns out, neatly, he likes squirtle most out of the starters, so Doom is going to give him the Pokéball that was left after she chose Bulbasaur. We pointed out that most if us have nicknames or aliases for doing all this 'hero' work, and he's chosen Maelstrom. Clearly Squirtle needs to learn Whirlpool!

That's all for now, but thought you should know about our new member. Bye for now!

Much better than rubber gloves.

For a while now, me and Joltik have had a problem. Namely, whenever he used Thunderwave, it would hit me too. Thunder wave doesn't hurt, but what about other moves? Electroweb should be fine (and SO cool!) because it's a mouth attack, but thunder ______ moves are done pikachu style, so they would pose serious problems later on. But yesterday, I got one of those rubber wristbands from a poppy stall. It negates it for me, it's great. I'm showing my support for remembrance day, and Joltik can use thunderwave without affecting me. We hope the rest of his electric moves should be fine too!

Ash's mum gave him rubber gloves, but this is much, much better for everyday wear.

Battling for Boulders

So, as promised, here's a summary of how everyone else did against Brock. He had his Chansey with him, and we had plenty of healing items, so we made sure Brock's team was fully restored before the next battle.

Ragnarok went after me, but he did a 3v3 too, so I'll save that for later.

I think I'll start with Sammy. Kirlia teleported her and Don in from their Universities (Sammy decided to switch to a different Uni, and Don's always gone to one a bit further off.) so they could get badges too. She decided to do a 1on1, sensibly enough, and so it was Sudowoodo vs Oddish. Clefairy cheered from the sidelines, and Oddish stumbled forwards, gazing up at Sudowoodo. Sammy started off with Poisonpowder, and Sudowoodo hit back, knocking Oddish to the floor. Sudowoodo was pulsing a faint purple, but wasn't suffering too much for now. Oddish got to it's feet, and used absorb, recovering some health. Oddish ran madly round the room, dodging Sudowoodo's hits, while making small streams of green orbs of health float between the two of them. As Sudowoodo managed a second hit, wincing from the poison now, Oddish started to glow, growing and changing until:
'Uuuuurgh, what the hell is that stink?!'
'Glooooooooom!' It had evolved! And, it turned out, learned Mega Drain.A much larger stream of bubbles shot from Sudowoodo, sending it crashing to the floor.
'Hooray! We did it!'
'Gloom!'
'Congratulations, on your victory and your new Gloom. Here's your Badge.'

Thanking Brock, Sammy picked up Gloom and turned round to see us all holding our noses. 'What? What's wrong?'
'That smell....'
'What are you talking about? I like it.'
'Then you're one in a thousand, and certainly the only person here.'
'Oh be like that then! Gloom, Use Sweet scent, then return to your ball.'
'Glooooooom'
'Thanks.'

Next up: Doom. She wanted to take on all three, but as she only had Bulbasaur, Brock insisted on a 1 on 1. Fool. If he'd used Crobat and Croagunk too, he might actually have lasted more than thirty seconds. This was without a doubt, the quickest match I have ever seen. Bulbasaur and Sudowoodo took there positions. Sudowoodo leapt into the air, and Doom yelled 'Unleash Hell!'. Leaves filled the room, obscuring everything from vision. When they died down, Sudowoodo was exactly where he had been, poised in the air, with a look of complete shock on his face. He crashed to the floor, swirly eyed, and Doom grinned at Brock. 'Now give me my damn Badge.'

Don actually lost his 1v1 first time round due to an unlucky miss and some incredible speed from Sudowoodo, but he taught Hitmonchan Brick Break and came back for another go, resulting in a win for them.

Brock actually requested Jonny's Onix as an opponent, because of his love for them, but that ended badly for him. I'm trying to think of a technical term for Onix's most effective move, but basically, It just landed on him. The building shook, and Sudowoodo had sustained damage already. He didn't get up.

All right, time for Ragnarok. Brock sent Sudowoodo out first again, and Rag sent out Snover. Snover started off with Razor leaf, landing a glancing blow. Sudowoodo struck back, hitting hard. Snover used Ingrain to recover, but this meant he couldn't move from his spot, allowing Sudowoodo to launch a fierce attack, hitting again and again. As soon as Ingrain finished, Rag withdrew him, and sent out Charmeleon. Charmeleon used Metal claw, ducking and dodging Sudowoodo's blows, but suffered a direct hit whenever he got too close. Wincing from the Hammer Arms, Charmeleon didn't see the Double Edge, and was thrown across the room. Sudowoodo was struggling. He'd taken recoil damage, and Snover and Charmeleon had scored some good hits. They both ran at each other again, slamming into each other. When the dust cleared, Sudowoodo was on the ground, swirly eyed, and Charmeleon was hunched over, looking woozy. But he was standing.
Brock sent out Crobat next, and Rag swapped Charmeleon and Snover back. Snover managed to hit first, with an Ice shard to Crobat's wing. Using Ice Shard again, Snover was hit by Wing Attack, toppling over. 2 each left.
Pichu wandered out, and when ragnarok gave him a few words of encouragement, he clenched his paws into tiny fists, put a sort of frowny squint look on his face, and strode forwards. He used Charm, Tail Whip and Sweet Kiss, and when Crobat swooped down at him, he grabbed onto a wing, and used Thundershock. Again and again, while Crobat desperately tried to shake him off, but in the end he sank to the floor, and was defeated.
Brock sent out Croagunk, and Pichu stared as he advanced. He started to tremble, but attempted a charm. He followed it with Sweet kiss, be he missed. Croagunk tapped him lightly on the head, fingertips glowing purple. Pichu wobbled, and his lip started to quiver. He had a scuff mark on his cheek, and was throbbing faintly purple. Croagunk suddenly leapt into the air, his whole arm glowing. Rag was yelling advice to Pichu, but he was rooted to the spot in terror. Croagunk was shooting down towards Pichu, his arm was an inches from him-
Claws, glowing with a metallic shine, caught Croagunk's attack an inch from Pichu's nose. A look of complete shock crossed his face. Pichu, face scrunched up, opened one eye, saw the attack, and promptly fell backwards.
Charmeleon threw Croagunk across the room, and gestured, wincing, for Pichu to get back. Pichu ran for cover, peering out from behind Rag's legs, hugging him tightly.
Croagunk got up, looked round, and saw Charmeleon, giving him a curious and angry look. Then he saw Pichu, and stepped in his direction.
In a blur of red, Charmeleon was upon him. Croagunk tried to retaliate, but he couldn't get a move in. Without a word, I handed Rag a peach, and we all, Brock included, continued to just stare at the scuffle, Rag picking up Pichu and feeding him the fruit almost without noticing he was doing it.
Croagunk shot from the cloud of dust that had risen, landing a few feet away and sliding across the floor, coming to a stop in front of Rag. Pichu, happily munching his peach and no longer poisoned, leapt from Rag's arms. He clapped hard as Charmeleon emerged from the dust, cradling his left claw. He smiled at Pichu, and then collapsed. Pichu gasped, and then pouted, looking furious, and stormed up to Croagunk, whose eyelids were flickering, half closed. As a finger twitched, Pichu blew a raspberry at him, kicking him hard, before losing his balance and falling hard. Croagunk's head slumped, his eyes going swirly.

Dragon took a moment to regain his composure. 'Croagunk and Charmeleon are unable to battle. As the only remaining member of the battle, Pichu is the winner. Ragnarok wins!'

Brock was beaming, coming over to shake Rag's hand and heal Croagunk. 'The bond between your Pichu and Charmeleon is clearly incredibly strong. It's an honour to present you with your badge.'

So there you go. That's everyone. Brock's trying to find out if any of his friends have come through aswell, but he's promised to help us if he can.

Good Friends with Brock. So many cool things have happened since this shard business started. I hope it never ends, I really do.

SUCH A COOL DAY!

I loved Sunday, I really did. As you know, we've been training for a while now, but we don't really have a lot to show for it. I mean yes, we have been successfully holding back the apocalyptic destruction of two worlds by calming/beating/dealing with the more dangerous collision events, but we didn't really have something to show for it. (Not even that fossil! Damn you Blackmage!) Until now.

Today, however, was the day that somebody new came through from the other world. Somebody we recognised very well. Brock.

There we were, waiting to see what would come through this time, and a sudden jab of tingling feeling in the shard tells me it's about to happen. A flash of purple light and and an explosion threw us backwards, which turned out to be good, because this meant we weren't crushed by the rockslide that burst from the light. Clouds of dust filled the field. I looked up to see a silhouette staggering out from behind a boulder, coughing. As it became clear who it was, most of us gasped, and I heard 'Oh my god!...' No way......' from behind me. I was just speechless. Brock looked round at all of us, and then behind him at the rubble. He turned back to us, looking a bit awkward. 'Sorry, but can anyone tell me what just happened?'

When we all regained our composure, and Bulbasaur had cured Brock of his sudden bout of lovesickness upon seeing Sammy and Doom, we explained everything, helped him settle in, showed him Cambridge (He loves the area by the fitzwilliam museum, it's a lot like Pewter City apparently) and generally sorted him out. I still have no idea how we're going to cover up the rockslide blocking the entrance to a cave from another world in the middle of a Cambridge field, but we'll think of something. Turn it into a hill? Meh.

Of course, once he was feeling better, we asked him if he happened to have any badges with him. Luckily, he apparently always has some with him, so we invited him over to challenge him for them. I know that we're in our own world, and these badges may serve no actual purpose here, but let's be honest, you'd just want them anyway, wouldn't you?

We've started making a sort of Gym/Battle area, somewhere to have proper sized battles without destroying the shop, by extending the basement. Thanks to quite a lot of digging, both with TMs and shovels, it now represents a medium sized cave, which suited Brock fine.
'Do you want a one on one with my rock type, or a bigger battle with multiple types?'
'Can I do the bigger battle?'
'3 on 3 ok?'
'Fine by me.'
Dragon offered to referee the battle, and we began. Brock sent out Sudowoodo, and I sent out Rattata.
'Hammer Arm!'
'Dodge it and use Iron tail!
Rattata darted round as as Sudowoodo slammed a glowing arm into the floor. He jumped up, a metallic shine passing over his body as he whipped round, striking hard with his tail. Sudowoodo winced, falling backwards, but regained his balance quickly and ran forwards, mimicing Iron tail. Rattata was aiming a Super Fang, but got slammed by the mimic, flying through the air. Hurtling towards a wall, he pushed off from it, fangs bared. Sudowoodo struck the floor, sending shards of rock into the air. Rattata leapt from one to the other, but mistimed a jump and fell, hitting one on the way down. Landing near Sudowoodo, he did Superfang again, biting him on the foot. Sudowoodo hopped around wildly, while Rattata shook his head. Biting rock may not have been the best idea. Brock withdrew Sudowoodo and sent out Crobat. Rattata still looked a bit woozy the jarring feel in his teeth, so Glaceon leapt in, keen to battle a Gym Leader at last. Crobat ducked a dived a lot at first, but Icy wind slowed him enough for Glaceon to land a direct hit with Ice Beam. Crobat was failing but landed a supersonic, confusing Glaceon. Brock withdrew Crobat and sent out Croagunk. I had another excited fan moment then, because I always liked Croagunk. He was just so cool. Not so much now though. Seeming completely unconcerned by his new and bizarre surroundings (Although to be fair, we basically just in a cave bit at the moment like I said) he padded slowly forwards towards Glaceon, who was shaking his head madly, trying to free himself of confusion. I called out, trying to help, but Glaceon was determined to keep fighting, and jumped at Croagunk. And missed completely. Croagunk calmy hit out with a brick break. This time Glaceon agreed with my idea of withdrawing, and Butterfree was keen to join in. My first three. Seemed right.
'Ok Butterfree, let's see if we can speed this up a bit, shall we? Psybeam!'
'Fre-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-ee!'
Croagunk, suddenly moving with impressive speed, dodged the attack, leaping towards butterfree, fingertips glowing. Butterfree, of course, can fly, so he just rose higher, causing Croagunk to crash into a wall. Butterfree let off another Psybeam while he was stuck. And another one. Croagunk freed himself from the wall, staggering, and fell over, swirly-eyed. Yay!

Out came Crobat again. Butterfree avenged Glaceon by getting in with Supersonic first. Then another Psybeam. Glaceon had caused enough damage to Crobat that this was too much, and he was out too. But then Sudowoodo came back out and Butterfree into the floor, then the wall. Double Edge finished Butterfree off, and I caught him as he fell. Rattata snarled at Sudowoodo. He want to finish what he started, and charged. Dodging every blow, he shot up Sudowoodo's arm and hit him hard with an iron tail. Sudowoodo staggered back, swiping at Rattata, but he was too quick. He lashed out with another Iron tail, and finished him off with Quick Attack. Brock had lost, and was impressed with our Skill!

Oh yeah, and one more thing. THE BOULDER BADGE IS MINE!

This has got really long, so I'll sum up how everybody else did in another post. Bye for now!
