Me and Doom got a friend involved from Uni involved this morning, there was an outbreak and we and our Pokémon were hurt from fighting, so we took refuge at his place. I needed to scan his bed with the DSDex to make it do the 'do do do do dooo!' healing thing, so we filled him in while sitting there being healed. We revealed it was us that had been fighting back whenever trouble rose, why it was happening, the rest of the group, the lot. He was thrilled, and wanted to join. Turns out, neatly, he likes squirtle most out of the starters, so Doom is going to give him the Pokéball that was left after she chose Bulbasaur. We pointed out that most if us have nicknames or aliases for doing all this 'hero' work, and he's chosen Maelstrom. Clearly Squirtle needs to learn Whirlpool!
That's all for now, but thought you should know about our new member. Bye for now!

Much better than rubber gloves.
For a while now, me and Joltik have had a problem. Namely, whenever he used Thunderwave, it would hit me too. Thunder wave doesn't hurt, but what about other moves? Electroweb should be fine (and SO cool!) because it's a mouth attack, but thunder ______ moves are done pikachu style, so they would pose serious problems later on. But yesterday, I got one of those rubber wristbands from a poppy stall. It negates it for me, it's great. I'm showing my support for remembrance day, and Joltik can use thunderwave without affecting me. We hope the rest of his electric moves should be fine too!
Ash's mum gave him rubber gloves, but this is much, much better for everyday wear.

Battling for Boulders
So, as promised, here's a summary of how everyone else did against Brock. He had his Chansey with him, and we had plenty of healing items, so we made sure Brock's team was fully restored before the next battle.
Ragnarok went after me, but he did a 3v3 too, so I'll save that for later.
I think I'll start with Sammy. Kirlia teleported her and Don in from their Universities (Sammy decided to switch to a different Uni, and Don's always gone to one a bit further off.) so they could get badges too. She decided to do a 1on1, sensibly enough, and so it was Sudowoodo vs Oddish. Clefairy cheered from the sidelines, and Oddish stumbled forwards, gazing up at Sudowoodo. Sammy started off with Poisonpowder, and Sudowoodo hit back, knocking Oddish to the floor. Sudowoodo was pulsing a faint purple, but wasn't suffering too much for now. Oddish got to it's feet, and used absorb, recovering some health. Oddish ran madly round the room, dodging Sudowoodo's hits, while making small streams of green orbs of health float between the two of them. As Sudowoodo managed a second hit, wincing from the poison now, Oddish started to glow, growing and changing until:
'Uuuuurgh, what the hell is that stink?!'
'Glooooooooom!' It had evolved! And, it turned out, learned Mega Drain.A much larger stream of bubbles shot from Sudowoodo, sending it crashing to the floor.
'Hooray! We did it!'
'Gloom!'
'Congratulations, on your victory and your new Gloom. Here's your Badge.'
Thanking Brock, Sammy picked up Gloom and turned round to see us all holding our noses. 'What? What's wrong?'
'That smell....'
'What are you talking about? I like it.'
'Then you're one in a thousand, and certainly the only person here.'
'Oh be like that then! Gloom, Use Sweet scent, then return to your ball.'
'Glooooooom'
'Thanks.'
Next up: Doom. She wanted to take on all three, but as she only had Bulbasaur, Brock insisted on a 1 on 1. Fool. If he'd used Crobat and Croagunk too, he might actually have lasted more than thirty seconds. This was without a doubt, the quickest match I have ever seen. Bulbasaur and Sudowoodo took there positions. Sudowoodo leapt into the air, and Doom yelled 'Unleash Hell!'. Leaves filled the room, obscuring everything from vision. When they died down, Sudowoodo was exactly where he had been, poised in the air, with a look of complete shock on his face. He crashed to the floor, swirly eyed, and Doom grinned at Brock. 'Now give me my damn Badge.'
Don actually lost his 1v1 first time round due to an unlucky miss and some incredible speed from Sudowoodo, but he taught Hitmonchan Brick Break and came back for another go, resulting in a win for them.
Brock actually requested Jonny's Onix as an opponent, because of his love for them, but that ended badly for him. I'm trying to think of a technical term for Onix's most effective move, but basically, It just landed on him. The building shook, and Sudowoodo had sustained damage already. He didn't get up.
All right, time for Ragnarok. Brock sent Sudowoodo out first again, and Rag sent out Snover. Snover started off with Razor leaf, landing a glancing blow. Sudowoodo struck back, hitting hard. Snover used Ingrain to recover, but this meant he couldn't move from his spot, allowing Sudowoodo to launch a fierce attack, hitting again and again. As soon as Ingrain finished, Rag withdrew him, and sent out Charmeleon. Charmeleon used Metal claw, ducking and dodging Sudowoodo's blows, but suffered a direct hit whenever he got too close. Wincing from the Hammer Arms, Charmeleon didn't see the Double Edge, and was thrown across the room. Sudowoodo was struggling. He'd taken recoil damage, and Snover and Charmeleon had scored some good hits. They both ran at each other again, slamming into each other. When the dust cleared, Sudowoodo was on the ground, swirly eyed, and Charmeleon was hunched over, looking woozy. But he was standing.
Brock sent out Crobat next, and Rag swapped Charmeleon and Snover back. Snover managed to hit first, with an Ice shard to Crobat's wing. Using Ice Shard again, Snover was hit by Wing Attack, toppling over. 2 each left.
Pichu wandered out, and when ragnarok gave him a few words of encouragement, he clenched his paws into tiny fists, put a sort of frowny squint look on his face, and strode forwards. He used Charm, Tail Whip and Sweet Kiss, and when Crobat swooped down at him, he grabbed onto a wing, and used Thundershock. Again and again, while Crobat desperately tried to shake him off, but in the end he sank to the floor, and was defeated.
Brock sent out Croagunk, and Pichu stared as he advanced. He started to tremble, but attempted a charm. He followed it with Sweet kiss, be he missed. Croagunk tapped him lightly on the head, fingertips glowing purple. Pichu wobbled, and his lip started to quiver. He had a scuff mark on his cheek, and was throbbing faintly purple. Croagunk suddenly leapt into the air, his whole arm glowing. Rag was yelling advice to Pichu, but he was rooted to the spot in terror. Croagunk was shooting down towards Pichu, his arm was an inches from him-
Claws, glowing with a metallic shine, caught Croagunk's attack an inch from Pichu's nose. A look of complete shock crossed his face. Pichu, face scrunched up, opened one eye, saw the attack, and promptly fell backwards.
Charmeleon threw Croagunk across the room, and gestured, wincing, for Pichu to get back. Pichu ran for cover, peering out from behind Rag's legs, hugging him tightly.
Croagunk got up, looked round, and saw Charmeleon, giving him a curious and angry look. Then he saw Pichu, and stepped in his direction.
In a blur of red, Charmeleon was upon him. Croagunk tried to retaliate, but he couldn't get a move in. Without a word, I handed Rag a peach, and we all, Brock included, continued to just stare at the scuffle, Rag picking up Pichu and feeding him the fruit almost without noticing he was doing it.
Croagunk shot from the cloud of dust that had risen, landing a few feet away and sliding across the floor, coming to a stop in front of Rag. Pichu, happily munching his peach and no longer poisoned, leapt from Rag's arms. He clapped hard as Charmeleon emerged from the dust, cradling his left claw. He smiled at Pichu, and then collapsed. Pichu gasped, and then pouted, looking furious, and stormed up to Croagunk, whose eyelids were flickering, half closed. As a finger twitched, Pichu blew a raspberry at him, kicking him hard, before losing his balance and falling hard. Croagunk's head slumped, his eyes going swirly.
Dragon took a moment to regain his composure. 'Croagunk and Charmeleon are unable to battle. As the only remaining member of the battle, Pichu is the winner. Ragnarok wins!'
Brock was beaming, coming over to shake Rag's hand and heal Croagunk. 'The bond between your Pichu and Charmeleon is clearly incredibly strong. It's an honour to present you with your badge.'
So there you go. That's everyone. Brock's trying to find out if any of his friends have come through aswell, but he's promised to help us if he can.
Good Friends with Brock. So many cool things have happened since this shard business started. I hope it never ends, I really do.

SUCH A COOL DAY!
I loved Sunday, I really did. As you know, we've been training for a while now, but we don't really have a lot to show for it. I mean yes, we have been successfully holding back the apocalyptic destruction of two worlds by calming/beating/dealing with the more dangerous collision events, but we didn't really have something to show for it. (Not even that fossil! Damn you Blackmage!) Until now.
Today, however, was the day that somebody new came through from the other world. Somebody we recognised very well. Brock.
There we were, waiting to see what would come through this time, and a sudden jab of tingling feeling in the shard tells me it's about to happen. A flash of purple light and and an explosion threw us backwards, which turned out to be good, because this meant we weren't crushed by the rockslide that burst from the light. Clouds of dust filled the field. I looked up to see a silhouette staggering out from behind a boulder, coughing. As it became clear who it was, most of us gasped, and I heard 'Oh my god!...' No way......' from behind me. I was just speechless. Brock looked round at all of us, and then behind him at the rubble. He turned back to us, looking a bit awkward. 'Sorry, but can anyone tell me what just happened?'

When we all regained our composure, and Bulbasaur had cured Brock of his sudden bout of lovesickness upon seeing Sammy and Doom, we explained everything, helped him settle in, showed him Cambridge (He loves the area by the fitzwilliam museum, it's a lot like Pewter City apparently) and generally sorted him out. I still have no idea how we're going to cover up the rockslide blocking the entrance to a cave from another world in the middle of a Cambridge field, but we'll think of something. Turn it into a hill? Meh.
Of course, once he was feeling better, we asked him if he happened to have any badges with him. Luckily, he apparently always has some with him, so we invited him over to challenge him for them. I know that we're in our own world, and these badges may serve no actual purpose here, but let's be honest, you'd just want them anyway, wouldn't you?
We've started making a sort of Gym/Battle area, somewhere to have proper sized battles without destroying the shop, by extending the basement. Thanks to quite a lot of digging, both with TMs and shovels, it now represents a medium sized cave, which suited Brock fine.
'Do you want a one on one with my rock type, or a bigger battle with multiple types?''Can I do the bigger battle?'
'3 on 3 ok?'
'Fine by me.'
Dragon offered to referee the battle, and we began. Brock sent out Sudowoodo, and I sent out Rattata.
'Hammer Arm!'
'Dodge it and use Iron tail!Rattata darted round as as Sudowoodo slammed a glowing arm into the floor. He jumped up, a metallic shine passing over his body as he whipped round, striking hard with his tail. Sudowoodo winced, falling backwards, but regained his balance quickly and ran forwards, mimicing Iron tail. Rattata was aiming a Super Fang, but got slammed by the mimic, flying through the air. Hurtling towards a wall, he pushed off from it, fangs bared. Sudowoodo struck the floor, sending shards of rock into the air. Rattata leapt from one to the other, but mistimed a jump and fell, hitting one on the way down. Landing near Sudowoodo, he did Superfang again, biting him on the foot. Sudowoodo hopped around wildly, while Rattata shook his head. Biting rock may not have been the best idea. Brock withdrew Sudowoodo and sent out Crobat. Rattata still looked a bit woozy the jarring feel in his teeth, so Glaceon leapt in, keen to battle a Gym Leader at last. Crobat ducked a dived a lot at first, but Icy wind slowed him enough for Glaceon to land a direct hit with Ice Beam. Crobat was failing but landed a supersonic, confusing Glaceon. Brock withdrew Crobat and sent out Croagunk. I had another excited fan moment then, because I always liked Croagunk. He was just so cool. Not so much now though. Seeming completely unconcerned by his new and bizarre surroundings (Although to be fair, we basically just in a cave bit at the moment like I said) he padded slowly forwards towards Glaceon, who was shaking his head madly, trying to free himself of confusion. I called out, trying to help, but Glaceon was determined to keep fighting, and jumped at Croagunk. And missed completely. Croagunk calmy hit out with a brick break. This time Glaceon agreed with my idea of withdrawing, and Butterfree was keen to join in. My first three. Seemed right.
'Ok Butterfree, let's see if we can speed this up a bit, shall we? Psybeam!'
'Fre-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-ee!'
Croagunk, suddenly moving with impressive speed, dodged the attack, leaping towards butterfree, fingertips glowing. Butterfree, of course, can fly, so he just rose higher, causing Croagunk to crash into a wall. Butterfree let off another Psybeam while he was stuck. And another one. Croagunk freed himself from the wall, staggering, and fell over, swirly-eyed. Yay!
Out came Crobat again. Butterfree avenged Glaceon by getting in with Supersonic first. Then another Psybeam. Glaceon had caused enough damage to Crobat that this was too much, and he was out too. But then Sudowoodo came back out and Butterfree into the floor, then the wall. Double Edge finished Butterfree off, and I caught him as he fell. Rattata snarled at Sudowoodo. He want to finish what he started, and charged. Dodging every blow, he shot up Sudowoodo's arm and hit him hard with an iron tail. Sudowoodo staggered back, swiping at Rattata, but he was too quick. He lashed out with another Iron tail, and finished him off with Quick Attack. Brock had lost, and was impressed with our Skill!
Oh yeah, and one more thing. THE BOULDER BADGE IS MINE!
This has got really long, so I'll sum up how everybody else did in another post. Bye for now!

Turns out there really WAS some treasure...
It's lucky all we've had to deal with recently have been stardard uneventful waves of monsters, this cave is taking ages to finish. This should be it now though.
So, everyone wakes up in the cave, and we notice that the strangely marked starters and the shadowy figure have gone, along with a big chunk of all our memories.
'Well, I think that settles it. I'm pretty sure we just met...but did we? I could have sworn someone was here....'
'What are on about T?'
'I......don't know'
Of course, thanks to Porygon, we've worked out that the Palkia shard had weakened the wipe's effect on me, so I had some very vague recollections, but we had no idea at the time, so nobody knew what the hell I was on about.
'Bulbasaur's been fighting. What's going on? And who's this guy?'
'Yeah, my guys look like they've had a battle, and my leg really hurts. You ok Pichu?'
'chuuuuuu...'
'I am Blackmage, and I want my treasure!'
'Why am I surrounded by Clefairy? Oooh, I'm being hugged!'
'Where's Onix? His ball is empty...'
'Oooow, my head........'
Blackmage had sent out Scyther, and was getting to his feet as Scyther explored the back of the cave.I started to get up too, but found Blackmage and Metang looming over me.
'Nobody move until Scyther completes his search. Everybody just behave and stay still.'
'I want to stand up, and we have more of a right to be here! Why shouldn't we look for treasure too?'
'Because it's mine. Metang, Take down!'
'Rattata, Quick Attack!'
The two crashed into each other, bouncing off, Metang wobbling in the air and Ratta skidding to a halt. I scanned Metang with my DSDex and grimaced. 'We need to hit hard Rattata, before he has a chance to pull out a big move, he's a few levels higher. Super Fang!'
'Ratta!'
Rattata leapt, and his fangs started to glow, and became huge, striking Metang on the head.
'No! Metal Claw!'
Metang slashed upwards, catching Rattata in mid-air, catching him on the cheek. He winced, landing on the floor snarling.
'oooh, bad move, you've angered him. You doing ok?'
'Raaa!'
'Alrighty then. Use quick attack to get on top of Metang!'
Rattat shot off a streak of purple rage. Dodging Metang's furious swipes, he sped up one an arm, coming to a stop in the middle of Metang's flat top.'
'Finish this. Flame wheel!'
Just like on Flareon's back, Rattata used his Flame Wheel like a Hamster wheel, not moving from his spot as he ran, fire enveloping him, being pounded into Metang, who started to quiver, squirming as he tried to swat Rattata off. Blackmage looked furious.
'Stop that! I don't know how, but I'm pretty sure that's cheating!'
The flame started to die down but Rattata just started up again, a look of glee on his face.
'Yeah, he doesn't like it when people manage to hit him. And you hurt Butterfree, he's mad about that too.'
Scyther suddenly let out a cry, holding up a lump of rock with something embedded in it.
'Aha! The fossil is mine! You lose!'
'Oh, THAT'S what you were looking for? I thought you meant gold or something. That looks damaged.'
'It's an entirely new fossil! Who knows what it might become!'
'It looks like a Dome fossil with a bit missing...'
'Well it isn't! It's entirely new!'
We were interrupted by Metang. Fainting. Rattata leapt off, gave a smug nod, and climbed up to my shoulder.
'Damn you! You will pay for this! All of you! Snorunt use Flash!'
By the time we were done blinking rapidly and everything came back into focus, he was gone, although we could hear footsteps hurriedly receding down one of the tunnels.
We all looked at each other, unsure what to say. Well, Doom had afew words to say, but I won't repeat them. Or what Rag called him.
After that, we the Onix staircase up to the surface, and Kirlia took us home.
Oh yeah, the Clefairy that was hugging Sammy has come with her. Welcome to the team!

Cool thanks. Well, there you go, now we have some idea what went on in the middle. This is really long now, so I'll post the little bit that happened afterwards separately.

Blog assist protocol engaged.
I'm having to rely on Porygon on some of this, so I'm dictating it so he can fill in the gaps. A lot of what happened in the cave is fairly hazy, but I'll do my best...
Right, where did I leave it? Oh yeah, the Wall of Snorunt.
I decided to just take the Ash approach to it, and ran straight at. In response, every single version of Snorunt used Icy wind. It slammed into me, throwing me backwards, sending me crashing into Don.
'Oowwwwwwwww........you ok?'
'....I'm cold.......really, really, cold....'
'You NEVER get cold.'
'....there's a lot of Ice.....'
'Fair point'
We got up to have another go. Hitmonchan charged forwards, striking a Snorunt, causing it to flicker and disappear. The rest of the wall launched another Icy wind, but Glaceon got in the way, absorbing most of the blast with only minor damage. Rattata started tackling fake Snorunts, destroying them, searching for the real one.
Scyther was getting to it's feet, but Butterfree was holding it off while we assaulted the wall. Don was edging round the side of the cave, trying to sneak up without being attacked. It didn't work.
'Right, that does it!'
I released Dratini, who trembled at the sight of so many Ice types, but I pointed out that only one of them was real. 'Help us clear the path would you? Use twister!'
'Tiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!'
The twister tore into the wall, sending Snorunts flying everywhere, flickering out of existence as they went. Soon, there was just one left, spinning madly in the center of the attack. It was dumped on the cave floor, and stumbled around looking dazed.
'It's dizzy! Quick!'
Everyone sprang forwards, but with a cry of 'eeeeeeeeeeeeeee' Butterfree soared over my head, before tumbling to earth. I ran to catch it, and saw Scyther shoot past, rescue Snorunt from Rattata, Glaceon and Hitmonchan, and speed off into the depths of the tunnel.
I gave Butterfree some berries, and we set off in pursuit. The tunnel wasn't anything very special, but I remember looking into the waterfall chamber before we followed Scyther.
The only entrance to the inner part of the cave to have existed before all this, it's a medium sized chamber with glittering walls, a massive waterfall, and a waterway leading deeper into the cave. We stood there, listening to the rushing water, and it felt as if, underneath, music was playing, like the cave was working to somesort of rythm. Glaceon tugged my shirt, pulling my away towards the tunnels.
'yeah yeah, I know, we're going.'
That cave felt...magical, like there was more to it, if only we knew how to find it. I'll never forget that place. It was beautiful.
Anyway, plot. The tunnel was fairly uneventful, or at least I don't remember anything really happening, but this is where it starts to get a bit hazy. I do remember coming to a crossroads, and seeing a trail of leaves on the floor for as far as I could see to left and right. One was embedded in the cave wall, and somebody had written: 'Passages twisty. We went left. Doom and Sammy.' but with an arrow for the left. Later, we came to another crossroads, again with a trail of leaves, this time telling us they'd been going the other way.
At this point all I can really remember is a yell, and us running, but it's really blurry. Don can't remember this at all, so I hope Porygon can fill in some gaps for us:

Scotland: the Cave.
Right, I'll finally get round to telling you about Scotland. You know how I told you about the odd report coming in from further and further away, and how the cracks were spreading from our base because it's the weakest/most active point? Well, we got an alert that there'd been a major outbreak up in Scotland, so Kirlia took us all up there, as 'Dragon' had offered to look after the eevees.
I don't like teleporting, it turns out. It's a very weird feeling. Doom's getting used to it, and Sammy loves it, but it just feels wrong to me. Rag says you get used to it, but I'm not sure I will.....
'So where exactly are we?' asked Doom as I was skimming the details on the DSDex's screen.
'Let's see' said Don, looking round in all four directions. 'We have mountains, mountains, mountains, and ooh, cliffs.'
'It's the cliffs we want' I called as the wind started to pick up. 'There should be a cave under them.'
We passed a large information board, and Jonny stopped to read it. 'We're in Durness, near a place called smoo-Aha!-cave! Smoo CAVE.'
I grinned at him. 'Durness? Wow, we're really far up then. Those cliffs are the top of Scotland. Only part further north than us is John O Groats.'
Rag was reading a smaller sign at the entrance to a long winding footpath down to the beach.
'Says here that Smoo means cave. They called it Cave cave?'
'Maybe it's particularly cavey?' Doom sighed and set off down the footpath. 'You people are slowing me down. I'm off to fight monsters!'
We raced after her, and found her peering into a huge opening in the cliff face. Further in, we could see several passages leading into darkness.
'So, which do we go for?'
'Well, the only one on the map is the big one on the right, it leads to the waterfall chamber. All the others are new....'
'Aha! new and spooky it is! Divide and conquer seems best. Coming Sammy?'
'Sounds good.'
Doom and Sammy strode off down the left passage, and Ragnarok and Jonny took the next one along, which left me and Don with the rightmost unknown passage. We started to head into the cave, but stopped at a call from behind us.
'Excuse me, I think you'll find that passage is mine.'
We turned round to see a guy standing the flat top of a silver Metang with golden spikes. It was floating towards us with a menacing look in it's eyes. The guy's face was hidden in shadow under a wide brimmed hat, and he had his hands tucked into the pockets of a large grey coat.
'Sorry guys, but I need you to back off that passageway. It's treasures are mine.'
Don started to laugh. 'So, you want to claim something we're about to explore as yours, and that's the attitude you take? Sorry, I don't exactly feel helpful just now.'
I was more interested in more mysterious elements. 'Treasures? Are you guessing, or do you know for a fact? And who the hell are you anyway?'
'Call me Blackmage. Yes, I know for a fact there are treasures in there. To be specific, a treasure. One I want very much. Which means you'll have to move.'
He pulled out both hands and released a Scyther and a Snorunt. Snorunt shot past us, and Blackmage glided gently towards the cave entrance, calling out lazily 'Keep them busy.'
Scyther raised a (What ARE they, anyway? Blades? Sickles?) ...implement and charged at us. I extended my right arm, pointing Joltik at it. 'Spider web!'
Joltik sprayed a large web of sticky threads at Scyther, who waved his sickle? at it, reducing it to tatters in the air.
'Huh, should have seen that coming.'
'Yup.'
We dodged as it swiped at us, and Glaceon shot ice in it's face. I shouted for Rattata to do a Flame Wheel, and a direct hit in the back knocked Scyther to the floor. We ran on, Don releasing Hitmonchan as he went, but we stopped short at the sight before us.
Blackmage had just called out 'Double team!' and his Snorunt was multiplying, over and over again, forming a row. The next set of Snorunt flipped themselves upside down, tessalating perfectly with the first lot, this kept going at a phenominal rate, and Blackmage laughed, still visible through a gap. 'Nice try, but I'm afraid I've won. I doubt very much you'll get past....The Wall of Snorunt!'
He was obscured from view by the replicating Snorunt still laughing triumphantly.
We had no idea who this guy was, but we had a job to do, and he was fighting us. If it was a battle he wanted, a battle he'd get!

Turns out, he's already level 12.
I know I've been slow finishing off what happened at the chilli fiesta, but we had a bit of trouble up in Scotland, so I haven't had time. I'll try and get this out of the way quickly, so we can move on.
Right, a summary of the situation. Rag had just fallen from a tree that had suddenly come through from the other universe, I was still recovering from the most recent surge of power from my shoulder, Doom had run off to help Sammy fight the latest wave of crazed wild creatures, a Heracross was about to divebomb me and Rag, and a Joltik had just attached itself to my wrist.
'Why is there a Joltik on your wrist?'
'I honestly have no ideAH!'
I dived out of the way as Heracross streaked past, right through the space I'd been occupying moments before.
We ran for cover under the pillared section, yelling instructions to Charmeleon and Butterfree as we went. With Ember and Gust chasing after Heracross, I risked a look at my wrist. The Joltik seemed to be trembling, casting frightened looks at our attacker.
'Oh, I see, he's scared. He must think I can protect him.'
It was at this point that Joltik's mother chose to attack us. I assume she thought we were trying to steal her child. Whatever her motives, we found ourselves assaulted by electricity and a hailstorm of needles. Joltik was hissing at her frantically, but we fled, with arms over our heads. I couldn't attack Galvantula, she wasn't to blame, she was just being a mum.
We made our way to the girls, and saw that they were in engaged in a battle with a swarm of Beedrill, a Tangela and a group of Sunflora.
'Typical' I groaned. 'There are ALWAYS Wasps here.'
'Get over here!' yelled Sammy. 'We don't exactly have a type advantage!'
'Pfft, advantages are for wimps.' Doom smiled. 'Vine Whip!'
Bulbasaur's vine lashed out at alarming speed, striking Beedrill in the head, leaving them dazed.
'You DO have an advantage! Sunflora and Tangela are pure Grass type!'
Sammy broke into a smaile 'Duh! Oddish! Acid!'
She laughed as Tangela was sent reeling, but Sunflora's head was beginning to glow gold.
'Oh hell, we do NOT want a solarbeam! Glaceon!''
Glaceon nodded, sending a blast of Ice at Sunflora, partially encasing it.
Rag dodged another dive from Heracross, while calling commands to his team. Pichu looked a little scared, then put on a frown and strode forwards. Admittingly, he mostly still just looked adorable, but it was clear he meant business. He strode forwards, and grinned sweetly, with a blush in his cheeks and a spark in his tail. He swayed from side to side, smiling up at the bugs. As soon as they were distracted, Snover hit them with icy wind, blowing them towards the ground, where Charmeleon assaulted them with fire based attacks.
I looked at the Heracross. He was too high, there's no way Rattata could get him from here. I held up a hand, and Rattat shot to the end of it, as high as he could get. Butterfree swooped past, scooping him up, and taking him way above us, into the sky. 'Drop down with Flamewheel!'
'Butterfree let go, and with a cry of 'Rataaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!' A tiny ball of fiery destruction hurtled towards Heracross, striking him hard. Angered, he charged, horn down. I glanced round, checking everyone else was alright, I led it away from them as fast as I could, back towards the pillars, and turned to put my arms up to protect myself.
'Tiii!'
I'd almost forgotten about Joltik. I couldn't put him in danger. I quickly turned my back to sheild him, and waited for the hit to land.
Instead I heard a yell and a thump. I turned, cautiously, and saw Heracross on the ground, with Galvantula standing on it. She and Joltik exchanged hurried words, and then she jerked her head, signaling for us to move.
'Really? You're ok with me now?'
She nodded.
'Thank you.'
We ran back to the others, narrowly missing a stray poison sting from a beedrill. One was coming for us, and everyone was busy. We were on our own.
'Jolti!'
'You want to fight?'
'Jolti!'
'Ok! Let's do this!'
I thought quickly. What helpful moves might Joltik know, no matter what his level something low down his list. Think! Off in the distance, I saw Doom smack away a Beedrill coming at her from the side, and Rag grabbing one by it's leg and slamming it into another.
I pointed my wrist at the Beedrill. 'Joltik! Thunderwave!'
A ripple of electricity shot from Joltik, paralyzing our attacker. I knocked it to the ground, and moved on to another.
So, pretty soon we all dealt with everyone, and we'd managed to keep the whole thing far enough away from the fiesta for it to be noticed too much, and Kirlia dealt with anyone who had.
Joltik has decided to join me, so say hello to our newest member!
Right, scotland asap!
'Jolti!'

Sort of an Anniversary.
It was around a year ago that I introduced Mum and Dad to everyone. Wow, have they really been here over a year already? At the same time, it feels like they've always been here, and yet time with them seems to have flown by. The spaces between the ripples have been getting longer, Moira hasn't been in touch, Kirlia doesn't know anymore about what happened in the future, and it's becoming a normal really. Cambridge is getting used to the weird splicing of worlds, and we're currently at 11% collision. I'd have expected it to be more by now. Hey, maybe we're just doing REALLY well at containing it? That said, there was a sighting of a Starly in peterborough a couple of days ago, and a Zigzagoon was seen in Ely last week, so it looks like the effect is starting to spread. The media isn't very interested yet, they think the sightings are pranks, and most of Cambridge thinks it's better if we don't draw too much attention to it, although that may have something to do with Porygon and Kirlia sending a hypnotic message to every TV and computer in the area.
Anyhoo, Stuff happened on Holiday on Saturday.
I was at a Chilli fiesta, eating spicy food and generally having a good time (Glaceon wasn't of course, very interested in the hot food, but, it turns out, loves Chilli Ice cream. Who'd have thought it?) and I felt my shoulder twinge. 'Oh great, now?!'
Glaceon's ear pricked up, and his head whipped round towards a lovely pillared area. Barking at me, he shot off.
'Something wrong?' dad had turned to me. I pointed at Glaceon. 'I've got...I need to.. I've got a thing...'
'Ah, ok. Good luck.'
'Thanks.'
I ran off, looking for Rattata as I went. He seemed to have sensed what was going on, because he darted out from behind a cheese stall, cheeks bulging, and leapt onto my outstretched hand. Butterfree fluttered gently towards me, happily nibbling on a cracker dipped in jam. Dratini, who'd been nervous of the crowds, popped his head out of my bag, peering round, before ducking back inside. As I tried to catch up to Glaceon, a blurry shape made of light shimmered into being just ahead. The light faded, revealing Ragnarok, Sammy, and Doom, all holding onto Kirlia. They all let go rather quickly, and Doom stumbled, looking dizzy. 'Whoah, that is a very weird way to travel.'
Rag smiled at her. 'You get used to it. I felt really weird when we went to the Eden project.'
Sammy looked thoughtful. 'I dunno, it felt ok to me. Sort of....nice.'
Rag turned to me. 'Kirlia sensed the disturbance. Jonny's got to work, and Don's on Holiday. Onix is watching the Eevees.'
'Cool thanks.' I pointed at the blue shape in the distance. He was by a low rectangular pool now, and seemed to be searching. He looked round and barked at me again.
Doom seemed fine, so we all went after Glaceon.
I reached him just as a huge burst of energy was unleashed from the shard.
'Aaaaargh! Why here?!'
Kirlia began to float, scanning the area. 'Glaceon is quite right, this is where it should be. It's out of the way, a lot of it is obscured from view, and once this most recent merge is complete, this is where most of the changes will have occurred. Most of the Pokémon that fell through will gather here, the tree will blend in well-'
'THE WHAT?!'
'Ah, yes. I can sense a tree is coming through. It shouldn't harm you too much.'
'Very comforting!'
I was thrown to the floor as a surge of energy from my shoulder knocked me backwards.
I sat up, rubbing my head with my left hand, my right arm hanging limply, hurting like mad. I could just about feel a dull tingle at my wrist, but I had bigger things to worry about. I saw Rag, who'd been to close when it happened, was on the floor nearby, and Sammy was releasing Oddish. Doom helped me up, looking slightly manic. 'So that's what you meant by 'bad ones'. What the hell?!'
'Welcome to VHS. This is the biggest wave since that weird guy, where you turned up.'
'You going to be ok?'
'Yeah, yeah, it gets better fairly quickly. What's happened, What's changed?'
'Well, Kirlia was right, there is a tree.....'
I looked where she pointed, and burst out laughing. Rag was dangling from a tangle of branches of a big tree that now stood by one of the pillars. One of his Pokéballs fell from his pocket, releasing Charmeleon as it hit the grass. Charmeleon peered up at Rag, and snorted flame from his nostrils, chortling, and the proceeded to climb the tree and start scratching madly at the branches.
'How did that even happen?'
'It's not funny! There wasn't a tree, and then 'Waaagh!' I'm being lifted up by a tree coming out of nowhere! You know technically this is your fault.'
'It's Moiras! Or Dialgas? I'm still not sure...'
There was a noise behind us, and Sammy called 'Hey, some back up please?'
'You alright now?'
'Yeah, I think it's manageable now, thanks.'
Doom flashed a smile. 'No problem. Now, if you'll excuse me...'
She ran after Sammy, yelling 'Bulbasaur, get out here! Unleash Hell!'
I was turning to see what they were fighting, when a large thump caught my attention. Charmeleon had finished cutting through one of the branches, and Rag had fallen to the ground.
'Oooooooow! Where's Happiny when you need her?'
I helped him up. 'Anything broken?'
'No.no. I'll be alright-what on earth is that?'
He was looking at my right wrist, where the tingling was coming from. Getting some of the feeling back in my arm, I lifted it and looked down to see a tiny, yellow, fuzzy shape stuck to my wrist. Blue eyes appeared in it, and it blinked at me. 'Jolti!'
It was at that moment that a Heracross zoomed by overhead, and leered at us, it's horn starting to glow.
That's quite an exciting place to stop, isn't it? This is getting rather long, so I'll finish it later. Bye for now!

Doom
Let me introduce you to VHS's newest member, Doom. Catching her up with everything is one of the reasons I've been a bit busy.
Sticking her arms out sideways, she leapt from the roof, doing an elegant flip as she fell, and landed on her feet in front of us. With a cry of 'Bulbaaaaaaa!' Bulbasaur leapt after her, landing in her outstretched arms. 'Months? Months?! Thanks for letting me know! WHY did nobody tell me? If I hadn't got Bulbasaur, would I have just missed it all?' She tutted, shaking her head. 'Rude! Selfish and rude.' She grinned. 'Oh well, I'm in on it now. Keep something this awesome from me again though, and some or all of you will die!'
'............thanks for the card chopping, and support...'
'No problem!'
Still smiling, she turned, and headed for the gates. 'Come on, we should leave before they wake up.'
She paused in front of Rag, who was staring from the roof to her and back again.
'Yep, I'm awesome. Can we move on? Nice battling back there, by the way, Charmeleon's clearly very strong. Obviously, the Char family isn't the BEST starter, but I like him...'
Walking back to the base, we did some catching up, and asked a few things of our own.
'How'd you get Bulbasaur?'
'Dad said there was a message for me at the lab he works in. We were confused obviously, and when I got there, there were two Pokéballs, with a note by it, saying I should choose one. The other was Squirtle. As far as I know, it's still there. If we find it a trainer, I can always go get it.'
'and finding us?'
'Bulbasaur did that. He could sense whatever that dude came through. Is that common?'
'Yeah, most of our Pokémon seem sort of tuned in to the disturbances.'
After introducing herself with her selected nickname, Don questioned it, but we backed Doom up. Hell, she was dangerous BEFORE she had a florakinetic dinosaur. Wonderful, but Dangerous.
So we showed Doom the base, the DSDex, everything, and pointed out all the secrecy involved at the beginning, getting me and Sammy out of trouble for not telling her.
Being Artistic, Doom's done a bunch of pictures of us all. Viola!

'Twister'ing by the school! Part 2
Wow, can't believe how little time I've had to post recently, sorry about that, I left it on a cliffhanger and everything. I'll catch you up after this. So, where did I leave it? Oh right, we're fighting the weird pokémon with the dark swirly aura things, and a school full of children were about to swarm out into the playground. What were we supposed to do? How could we keep everyone safe? Fortunately, Jonny had an idea. 'Onix! Wall them off!'
Onix lay down, making a huge stone wall, blocking the strip of playground with doors from the batle, just as they opened. The children started to pour out, and stopped suddenly. There were screams, cries of surprise, and I think a few fainted. Mutters and excited talk broke out, and I saw frantic teachers trying to control the crowds. Dratini was using wrap creatively, trying to strangle raticate, while both Rattatas were engaged in a heated battle (Literally, in my Rattata's case, he was using Flamewheel). The charmander was running towards Onix, but Charmeleon slammed it to the ground, clawing at it furiously. Oddish had managed to poison raticate, Snover had been hit hard, but was using Ingrain to recover health. Stuck in place, he was firing attacks as best he could.
I got Butterfree to sleep powder the children and teachers, just in time because one of my old teachers looked like she was about to demand a lot of answers. Butterfree couldn't get a clear shot of our foes without hitting our other fighters, but it was going well.
Raticate suddenly jerked it's head, and Dratini flew through the air. I leapt and caught him, wincing as I crashed to the floor.
'That looks much cooler when Ash does it.' I groaned, rubbing my side as I got up.
We heard laughter. My shoulder twinged as a glowing ripple burst into life in front of us, and a man strode out of it, sorting through a pack of cards. He had baggy black trousers, a black shirt with metal shoulder patches, and a blue design of a rectangle with a blue sphere inside it on the front. A bright orange belt, a plain metal helmet with tufts of hair sticking out, a tiny screen folded down from his helmet to cover one eye, and he something resembling a large metal fin attached to his left arm. 'That's quite enough. You have fought bravely, but now, it is time to end this!'
We all stared for about two seconds, and collapsed into fits of laughter.
I struggled for breath. 'Oh, it's SO much worse in real life! I thought you guys looked daft in the game! So you're, what, Team Magma? No, too weird even for that.....'
'I am not from any team you know of, foolish 'heroes'!'
'Right, then I think you took a wrong turn. The Yu-gi-oh Universe is back through the portal, past Digiworld, and then it's the third on your left. If you hit Neverland you've gone too far.'
We all suffered new bouts of giggles, and the man looked annoyed.
'You will suffer for your mockery!' He yelled, and put three cards in outlines on his giant fin. Each of the slots had a tiny figure above it: Model figures of the three monsters we were fighting. Images of super potions appeared in front of Rattata, Raticate, and Charmander. The images dissolved into points of light, and they looked much better. 'I also use....pluspower!'
All three began to glow red, and our fighters were thrown aside.
Dratini looked furious. He leapt from my arms, quivering.
We were still staring at the man. 'What...what are you doing?'
'Sealing your fate.'
'Thanks, that clears that up.'
Everyone looked exhausted, but Dratini was heading out towards the man.
'Oh look, the worm has come back for more!'
'You shut up about Dratini!'
'Shut up you weirdo!'
Dratini let out a cry, and wind started to whip at us.
'What is that? What are you doing?!'
'I...I think...Dratini's learned Twister!'
The Twister started to form, sucking up Raticate, Charmander, and the other Rattata, whirling them round and round, slamming them together, lifting them into the air and towards the man. One by one, the figures on the man's arm fin flickered, and went out.
'No! No matter, I shall simply use-'
He was cut short as the Twister cast his fainted creatures at his feet. We all cheered, and yelled 'Get him!'
Our Pokémon got slowly up, and started to prepare attacks. Suddenly, a leaf shot from over our heads, and sliced cleanly through the card the man was holding up. A huge volley of attacks struck him, and we heard a cry of 'Unleash Hell!' followed by a great torrent of leaves shooting by over our heads to join the mega attack hitting the card man. He was blasted into the air, and as he went, he was surrounded by a glow, and cried out 'Master! Please no! I know I've failed you, but-Nooooooooooo.......' his scream faded out as he was consumed by the glow, and vanished.
We started to turn round, looking for the source of the leaves. Ragnarok looked Thoughtful. 'It's been months since the trouble started, but this is the first guy we've met who seemed to be controlling the wild Pokémon, resulting in that shadowy effect thing-'
The rest of his sentence was drowned out by a yell. 'Whoah whoah whoah, hang on a minute!'
This time the voice helped us hone in on it's owner. We looked up at a roof of the school. Two figures were standing on it. The sun was behind them, making them silhouettes against the sky. The small, lumpy silhouette identified itself. 'Bulbasaur!'
The taller, human figure called out, her long coat flapping in the breeze. 'Did I hear correctly? Tempest, Sammy, you've known about this for months, and have had your own Pokémon that whole time, and didn't think of telling me? You two are in SO much trouble!'

'Twister'ing by the school!
How's that for a traditional episode title? Well, better than some of my others anyway.
So, today had a major development. Both for Dratini, and for the vision of the future we got stuck in. It's starting to catch up with us.
So, from the title, it won't surprise you that the latest surge caused an alert near my, Rag, and Jonny's old primary school. We rushed off, and got there just in time to see a rattata, raticate, and a charmander breaking through the wires of the fence to the playground. Something was wrong about them though. They all had glowing, solid black eyes, and seemed surrounded by a dark, swirling aura. The flame on the charmander's tail was black and grey, as if the colour had been sucked out of it.
'Well that's quite creepy.' stated Sammy, as the raticate finished biting a hole big enough for them, and they piled into the playground.
'Oh that does it!' Ragnarok was angry. 'Nobody attacks our school, especially not extra weird clearly evil monsters from another dimension! Come on everyone, let's do this!' He ran at the fence, failed to climb it, and tried to widen the hole. Happiny wandered forward, and threw him bodily into the air.
'What! Whoaaaaaaaa!'
Happiny trotted happily through the hole, and caught him on the other side. Then, without giving us a chance to find another way, she did the same to the rest of us.
When she put me down from the slightly embarassing but rather fun trip, I saw Rag launching an attack on the three shadowy monsters already. Charmeleon was claw to claw with the charmander, and Snover was taking on the rats. Pichu was hugging Rag's leg, peering out at the fights.
Rattata let out a snarl and shot past, leaping at the rats. He knocked them to the ground, but didn't seem as damaged as Rattata had hoped. Clearly normal moves weren't as effective as they should be.
Butterfree and Pidgey swept down from above, both going for the rats. Glaceon, wanting the challenge, decided to attack charmander.
'Ah, Fighting's good against normal, yeah? Here we go then!' Don ran forward with Hitmonchan.
Everyone swarmed the dark creatures. We thought victory was ours as Onix's tail slammed down towards charmander. The charmander, it turned out, had metal claw. Dodging Charmeleon, it struck upwarsds at the tail, striking it before Onix could land a hit. Onix let out a cry and reeled back. One metal claw from a charmander? What was that black stuff?
Oddish had poisoned the rats, and I saw happpiny grab raticate by the tail and through him upwards, where it was slammed by Pidgey.
Then, I heard a noise that terrified me. The school bell, calling for breaktime. Oh hell. About 200 small children were about to rush out onto the playground, and be confronted by a highly dangerous battle. How do we sort this out?

We would have helped him anyway....
Sorry, no cheesy title, turns out I'm bad at them. I'll try again sometime.
Now, we like to think of ourselves as helpful. So when our mysterious new friend Dragon asked if we could give him a hand with something, we said we'd do our best. But Glaceon seemed to think we should battle first. I asked Dragon if that was ok.
'Ah, but of course! In the world of Pokémon, a lot of people request a battle before assisting you in some way. I accept. One moment please.'
I started to ask whether he even HAD a pokémon, but he held up a finger for quiet.
'Moira, if you can hear me, I'm going to need my old friend, who you have been looking after so dutifully, back.'
He held out a hand, and a square of air slid away to show a White light, out of which dropped a Pokéball. It looked old, and had one of those winding mechanisms like that one in the fourth film. He opened it, and released a Dragonite.
The cartoon doesn't do them justice. Such a beautiful creature, so graceful. Wow. The Dragonite looked round, and seemed delighted to see Dragon again, flying over to give him a hug.
Soon, we were ready to battle. Glaceon was keen to go first, and hey, I wasn't going turn down a X4 advantage.
'Glaceon! Ice Beam!'
Dragonite dodged with ease, and flew forwards, landing a big hit Dragon Rush. Even weakened by type disadvantage, it was devastating blow to Glaceon, who was pushed backwards, wincing. Next we tried Icy Wind, and the widespread blast caught Dragonite, who was slowed, letting Glaceon get in a direct hot with Ice Beam. Dragonite landed, one wing half coated in ice. Then it used flamethrower. That was it for Glaceon. Plus the heat thawed Dragonite's wing. Dratini vs Dragonite was fun, but Dratini doesn't know any dragon moves yet, and Dragonite knows two, so it was a one-hit KO. So was Butterfree, thanks to bug being weak to fire. Rattata actually scored three hits, but was beaten by Dragon Pulse.
Ragnarok had a go too, and Snover managed to hit him with Icy Wind like we had, but then got hit with flamethrower. OHKO. Dragonite, it turns out, has Water Pulse, so Charmeleon didn't last long, despite managing to land two metal claws. Pichu decided to hide behind Rag, peering round his legs and trembling, so he didn't actually fight. Hitmonchan isn't good against flying types, but got in a few punches, Oddish the same managed to use poisonpowder, Onix had a type advantage, but suffered a OHKO from Water Pulse. Jonny's newest Pokémon, Pidgey, didn't last long, but Happiny surprised us all by grabbing Dragonite's tail, and spinning it round, then throwing it at the wall. Dragonite got up, shaking it's head, and used flamethrower, sending Happiny running back to Jonny, blowing a raspberry at Dragonite when it was safely in a hug.
Sorry it's taken so long to post this, Uni has taken up a lot of time.
So, now we're trying to help Dragon. He says his universe is in danger, and he needs to get back to it, so we've promised to help him get back. We have NO idea how though....

Dragons.
Yesterday was odd.
Me and Ragnarok were playing our new games (Me on White, him on Black) when I had another dimension wave thing. It was a very calm, mild wave, and I didn't feel too ill afterwards, which makes a nice change.
Obviously we checked around to see what had happened. Don called me to say there was a small, bluish creature with a huge fin wandering around on the north side of Cambridge. He sent a picture, and we identified it as a Gible. We'll have to make sure everything's ok at some point, but he lost it, so we don't know where it's gone. We'll notice if it causes trouble. The woman at the reception of the local hospital now has pink hair, so I think a Joy has arrived in our world. Me and Jonny noticed a green streak flicker in the sky for a moment, and there was a faint roar. Has Rayquaza turned up?
On my way home, I noticed there was a house with it's door ajar. Worried, I crept up to see if anything was wrong. The door swung open at my touch, and I was confronted by one big room, with a smiling man on a sofa, behind a table covered in cards. He was really friendly, a little too friendly considering we'd never actually met, but after playing the card game for and hour, a guy sitting nearby gave me a Dratini! How cool is that? The cards had numbers and Voltorbs on, so I'm pretty sure he's the guy from Heartgold.
That's not the weirdest thing that happened yesterday though. I rushed back to show the others my new Dratini, and as they came outside, hearing Rattata smashing the boulder, the air in the alley did something odd. There was a sort of ripple, that would have been invisible if not for the distortion it caused on the surrounding area, and an old man backed out of it, suddenly, as if pushed hard. He was tall, had a really long beard, and was wearing vaguely chinese robes, but didn't look very chinese. I'd guess he was english, but he isn't quite obvious enough to be sure, if you know what I mean. He stood up, looked round, and bowed. 'Greetings, my name is Dragon. You must be the VHS of this world. Ah, I recognize you all! You probably have no idea what has just happened, but I assure you-'
He saw Glaceon and Rattata. 'Ah, Moira said this world had been having some issues...'
We're letting him stay at the old shop. He had to sit down again fairly quickly, he looked so worn out! Still no idea what he's doing here though. Oh well, more later I guess.

Black and White
Very excited. Is it wrong for a 19 year old to be this excited about a new Pokémon game? Especially when I actually have REAL ones? Meh, they're excited about it too. Glaceon is disappointed by the lack of new Eevee forms, but like the look of the ice mirror and ice cream ones. Rattata keeps glaring at pictures of the chipmunk. He tends to see any Pokémon that has his part (Rodenty type near the beginning, you know, sentret, zigzagoon, bidoof ) as competition. Deerling got his approval though. Butterfree is intrigued by that fire moth one, but seems wary of it. Well, it's part fire, isn't it? Only natural.
I hope nothing Shard related happens while I'm going and getting it, I'd hate to summon a herd of angry Tauros into the shop or something. Oh well, wish me luck!

Tales of Iron!
And now for two stories of mice. Movie watching mice.
Rag told me what happened to him the other day, so I thought I'd put it up.
He was out with Charmeleon, Pichu and Snover, and was going past along a rough, rocky track. They were all having fun, until Charmeleon's head jerked up, and he paused. He turned to look at a clump of small boulders by the side of the road, and growled. A jogger ran by, ignoring the rocks and Rag's team, but Rag had been exposed to too much distortion energy to not notice the changes. One of the boulders shifted, and suddenly, they attacked, three Geodude, each leaping at one of Rags!
'Snover! Razor Leaf!'
Snover shot leaves at his opponent, and as Charmeleon dodged a rock throw, Rag ordered him to use metal claw. Pichu was quivering, tapping his tail on the floor nervously while it flickered and sparked. He ran from Geodude, looking scared, and let out a cry as a rock was thrown at him.
The rock exploded, turning to dust as Charmeleon struck it with a metal claw, having leapt to Pichu's defense. A rock slammed into him from behind, making him roar with fury as he was slammed to the ground.
'Charmeleon! Snover, Icy Wind!'
A gust of cold air weakened Charmeleon's attacker, as well as finishing off Snover's. Charmeleon got up, groaning, and as Pichu slammed his tail into the ground again, this time starting to glow a pale silvery colour, one of the remaining Geodude's started to tremble. Charmeleon grabbed Pichu and threw him into the air. The ground shook, as Charmeleon was toppled by magnitude. He looked at Geodude, raised a trembling claw, and then it dropped, as his eyes closed.
Geodude turned to Snover, but looked up, hearing a cry. Pichu descended, his tail glowing a bright silver, a metallic sheen passing over him. With a yell of tiny, adorable fury, his tail struck Geodude. As Pichu bounced off and landed, the Geodude reeled, spinning. Pichu hit him with a still glowing tail, sending him rolling into the other remaining Geodude like a bowling ball. Pichu struck him one more time, while Snover hit the other with more razor sharp leaves.
All the living boulders were defeated. Pichu was pulling at Charmeleon's arm, straining to get him up. He lost his grip and tumbled backwards, ending in him sitting and looking at Charmeleon, worried. Rag healed him up, and came back and told us about it.
My story is much shorter and less interesting, but has useful long term information.
After the aforementioned distortion wave, I found there was a small boulder in the alley outside, blocking access between the base and the main road. Useful for privacy, but not great for getting in and out. Rattata had a solution. Turns out Iron Tail works quite a lot like a pick-axe, or, importantly, Rock Smash! No annoying HM of little damage that cant be forgotten for us!
I have always hated Rock Smash, so I'm pleased by this. Makes sense though. Steel is super-effective against rock, and all the little boulders in the games are basically just rocks. Hurray!

TMs: Technically, Movies.
We've discovered something awesome.
There was another Dimension burst while we were at base, the old shop, and afterwards, some of the videos from the piles and piles left from when the shop was in business had numbers added to their spines. They all had a letter in front of them, like 'J13' and 'K27' or 'S43' or 'H22'. We've found out that these are the initial of the region, and the number of the TM. We tried a few out, and a couple of Eevees are now happily trying out Secret Power (The Secret Garden) Rattata now knows Dig (Holes (What was an old stack of videos doing with THAT on it? Too recent to be put on video, surely?))
Anyway, that's about it. Oh, and there was a lost and confused Shinx causing some accidents after the burst, but we calmed it down and helped it out. It's stayed in the area, and we make sure it's cared for. Bye for now!

The sword and the stones! Part 3
The dogs landed, growling at the birds. Happiny had been blocked from reaching us, but Vaporeon made use of her now much longer tail to whip a berry thrown by Happiny towards Glaceon, and one upwards, towards the roof. Skarmory, who seemed to be leading the pack, launched a steel wing at it's new foes, but was struck by an ember from Flareon. It reeled, peeling off into the sky. The three dogs split up, dashing off in different directions. Water guns, Thundershocks and Embers flew through the air. Suddenly, nearly all the pokémon sprang up, restored by Happiny. At once attacks were shooting out at every angle. Charmeleon and Flareon were backing Skarmory into a corner (as well as they could considering it could fly) Butterfree let off a burst of confusion in the face of two attackers who, confused, crashed into each other, then the ground. Hitmonchan was felling Murkrows one by one as Snover kept then from attacking as a flock. Pichu and Jolteon were launching a combined attack of thundershock, with Pichu sitting on Jolteon's back, giggling as it's cheeks sparked with delight. Jolteon was directing their boosted, sending his now larger attack at waves of birds, bringing them down two or three at a time. Glaceon sent out a wave of Icy wind, weakening and slowing a large group, enabling Onix to slam them with his tail. To my left, Sammy was cheering on her Oddish as it's poison became too much for another Taillow. 'Yes! Kanto 3, Wherever-these-blue-ones-come-from, nothing!'
I had to find Rattata. I looked at the roof he'd been thrown onto. It belonged to the Town Hall.
'Great, of all the places.....Butterfree! With me!'
We dodged past Vaporeon taking down birds heading for the halls windows, and the scared and confused faces peering out from them, and hammered on the door. A man opened it a crack, looking nervously out. 'Hello? Ah, you're one of the young men with the monsters aren't you? What do you-'
'Sleep powder!'
'Huh? uuuuuuuuuhhhh......'thud.
Push door open. Run inside. Head for stairs. Wave at Mayor. Find next staircase. Keep running. Butterfree was using sleep powder on anyone we encountered. Nobody was going stop us. Then there was a crashing noise, and two Spearow flew round the corner. I kept running. 'Confusion!'
Butterfree hit one, but the other dived for me. I turned a shoulder to it defesively. My shard shoulder. There was a faint crunch, and Spearow flapped backwards, dazed. I didn't stop to wonder, I just swatted at it, making it slam into a wall, and with Butterfree having finished with the other one, we made our way to the roof.
Rattata was munching on the berry, and looking happier. He jumped to his paws, pleased, as we came over. Then Chatot and Skarmory flew overhead. Chatot was yelling 'Kanto 3! Kanto 3!' but Skarmory went for Rattata. 'Rattata, use Flame wheel!' Rattata ran forward as a trail of fire curved up and over him to create a flamewheel. He caused Skarmory to dodge downwards, and Rattata leapt off the roof after it. We rushed forwards after him, hoping he was ok. He'd landed on Skarmory, but none of the fire attacks were doing enough damage. It was a high level, and I'm pretty sure it had been using Roost. Sammy and Oddish had used Sweet scent to stop the birds that were escaping. Onix peered at me, and touched his head to the side of the building, letting me run down it's back like stairs. Thanking it, I saw Chatot, out of range, flying off into the sky, and could just make out it yelling 'Rattata use flamewheel, rattata use flamewheel!'
Rattata was calling out to some of the other Pokémon. Charmeleon, nodding, touched it's tail to Flareons, who began to glow with a red aura. All the eevees, Jolteon, Vaporeon, and Glaceon were making a semicircle around them, and a clapping noise was coming from them. I scanned Skarmory as Rattata leapt forward. 'Ouch, level 45. None of our guys are up to that yet. And Charmeleon's out of ember. Flareon's only got a couple left.'
Rag was looking at the group, half puzzled, half smiling. 'But that's a LOT of helping hands....'
Rattata was bursting into flames, but, strangely, landed on Flareon's back instead of attacking Skarmory. He ran on the spot, the flamewheel spinning instead like a blazing hamster wheel, as Flareon glowed brighter.
I laughed, impressed. 'He's organized one big, super boosted attack. Wow, my rat is awesome. Go Rattata! Come on everyone, one last shot!'
Rag was looking intently at Rattata. 'Amazing. He's managing to convert his normally damaging attack into some sort of boost for Flareon. It reminds me of-'
'Pikachu and Misty's bike!' Cut in Sammy excitedly. 'You're right, that is one smart rat.'
'Aha! Gotcha!' Jonny had just caught one of the defeated birds, and turned to see what we were looking at. 'Wow. Cool.'
Don backed over to us, not taking his eyes off the charging attack. 'How are they going to make sure they hit?'
'Oddiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii!'
A tendril of sweet scent made Skarmory drift in front of Flareon, who opened his mouth with a cry, unleashing a torrent of tiny flames. Skarmory only had time to turn and yell before the wave was upon it.
It was AWESOME.
So yeah they won. We've discovered that whatever it was that was that making them crazy seems to wear off once they recover and wake up, so we healed them a little and let them rest. They all just flew off afterwards, and are now fairly spread out and not causing trouble.
We've kept the sword, it's at the base. We figure it's easier than trying to return it to it's proper dimension.
I had to find Rattata. I looked at the roof he'd been thrown onto. It belonged to the Town Hall.

The sword and the stones! part 2
We had to leave everything where it was and run over to market square, but Glaceon had started packing stones into my bag. It wasn't as heavy as expected, so I grabbed it and rushed off to catch up with the others.
It was true. All the birds in the square had become Pokémon, and had started flapping around causing chaos, confused. Murkrows, Pidgeys, Taillows, Starlys, Natus, a Skarmory, and a Chatot.
'Great, Oddish is Grass, that's not good against flying......'
'Fighting isn't that great either, right?'
'Take the Murkrows, the dark should cancel out the flying and make your attacks normal. Butterfree, use confusion and avoid flying attacks, Rattata, protect the public while they evacuate the area, Glaceon, all the normal fliers you can get, Jonny, Onix would probably be good, Rag, can you and Charmeleon go for Skarmory?'
'On it!'
He ran off, and Jonny released Onix, before heading for the group of panicky market goers and helping them leave.
Sammy was looking at the flock of birds nervously. One Pokémon with a type disadvantage. Not the best position to be in.
'Poison everything. I'd say that was the best approach.'
'Right. Oddish, Poisonpowder!'
Oddish launched a cloud of purple spores upwards, straight into the faces of five birds. Blinded by the dust, they crashed into a wall, flickering with a purple glow.
As Sammy cheered I went in pursuit of Rattata, dodging an Ice beam and Rag directing all three of his Pokémon at once. Rattata was leaping at a Natu, scaring it away from a little girl. She bent down to pat Rattata and thank him, smiling, but squealed as he pounced at Natu, going in for another Bite attack. I saw a taillow and a starly sweeping in on him from behind, and batted them away with my arm, getting a couple of nasty pecks. There were a few people, being guided out by Jonny, who were looking around in confusion, and seemed to think the birds were still normal birds, and a lot of people were looking at Glaceon, wondering what was taking out so many birds, unable to see him at all.
Then things went downhill. Skarmory escaped Charmeleon to steel wing Onix, Oddish was hit by a speedy Spearow, the Chatot let out a yell that knocked back Pichu and Snover, Hitmonchan took one too many flying type moves, Rattata was flung onto a rooftop, Butterfree, who had benn using powders and confusion suffered a direct hit from three Starlys, Charmeleon was overwhelmed by psychic moves from Natus, and I only just caught Glaceon as five birds slamming into him threw him backwards. We were all separated, and as I backed towards my bag, I saw groups of birds homing in on each of us. The eevees were gathered together in a huddle, biting and snapping at their foes, except one, the first one we encountered, who was cowering in the middle of the group, not attacking. Then three of them looked at Glaceon. Who nodded, and then looked up at me.
'Glay! Glacee! Ceeeeon!'
'Attack? No....Cover?'
'Cee!'
I slowly lowered him to the ground, and then batted frantically at our captors as they went for him. More joined our lot, and I caught a glimpse of Happiny pulling little oranges, satsumas or something, from her pouch and creeping about, handing them out to our Pokémon.
Suddenly, the three eevees that had nodded broke free of group, running, and leapt into the air. Glaceon made three head jerk movements by my bag, and three stones flew from him. They were caught by three sets of teeth mid flight.
A burst of light filled the square.
Three eevees had jumped into the air. A Vaporeon, Jolteon, and Flareon landed.

The sword and the stones! Part 1
The five of us all trained together at last, and loads happened!
First, I should explain about my Uni friend. She's called Sammy, and for Christmas I gave her an Oddish. Level 13, knows absorb, sweet scent, acid and poisonpowder.
So we all met up and I introduced Sammy to the rest of the group. She wanted to train Oddish with a proper battle, and Ragnarok wanted to give Pichu a proper battle, so they decided on a 1 v 1.
Oddish wandered forwards, looking round the base, excited for his first battle.
'Let's start with acid!'
With an excited cry, Oddish launched a blob of acid at Pichu.
'Dodge and use thunderwave!'
'Piiiiii!'
'Oooooooddddddddiii...'
This was a bad start for Oddish, as crackle of electricity rippled from it, and it stopped mid step, it's foot returning, very slowly, to the ground.
Rag grinned, and Sammy frowned. Then she looked determined, as Pichu ran forwards.
'Sweet scent!'
'Ooooddi!'
there was a pfffffffff noise, and then a beautiful smell filled the room. I found myself smiling, and leaning forwards to smell it better. Everyone in the room looked a bit sleepy, and Pichu had come to a halt and was sniffing at the air, looking happy.
'Woah.......ok, inside was a....bad idea....Oddish, quick, poisonthing....powder......'
'Butterfree, could you....with the flapping? ....and the smell?'
Butterfree looked a bit dazed, but flapped it's wings, and the air cleared. I shook my head, and looked up to see purple specks settling on Pichu, who seemed to wake up suddenly, glow purple, and looked a bit ill.
'No! Pichu, Sweet Kiss and Thundershock, quickly!'
'Piii? Piiii!'
Pichu focused, and launched a small ghostly angel and a bolt of energy. both hit, and Oddish reeled. Pichu ran forwards, as another flash of purple washed over him.
'Absorb!'
Oddish blinked, lunged with a long leaf from it's head....and smacked itself in the face.
'Noo! Try again, you can do it!'
This time the leaf made contact with Pichu, pushing him away, and as he stumbled, tiny balls of light shot from him and flowed into Oddish.
I couldn't get the weird feeling out of my head. The sweet scent was gone, so what was it? Then I noticed my DS on the table, where Rag had been using it earlier. It's recharge light was flashing purple. And it wasn't plugged in.
Glaceon saw too, and ran between Oddish and Pichu, calling out to get everyone's attention. I became aware that alot of the feeling was coming from my right shoulder, and I was trembling.
'Oh great. This feels like a big one.' I sighed, and as everyone turned to look at me, there was an explosion of purple light from my right side. Next thing I know, my head really hurts, and everyone's looking down at me.
'You alright?'
'Well, not a fan of the blacking out bit.....DS....what's DS say....'
Don handed it to me, and I sat up.
'Wow, big disturbance this time. Well Sammy, you wanted to come along on one of our 'Dimension collision clean ups' this is your chance. You guys will need to fix up Pichu and Oddish though, where my- ah, thanks Glaceon.'
Glaceon pulled my bag over, and I got out a peach, a cherry, and two bottles of water.
'Sorry, no persimmon's, but a quick trip into the ball should fix the confusion.'
As I stood up, my phone went off. 'Yeah?'
'Tempest? I know you're probably busy, so just when you can, but could you pop out to market square? Nothing big really, it's just that ALL THE BIRDS HAVE GONE CRAZY. GET OVER HERE!'
As my friend hung up, I felt my DS vibrate more violently.
'Rag, what was it you were doing on here before the battle?'
'Oh, just activating the 'some items' from the Action Replay. Getting stuff for working on Heartgold. Pichu wanted to see what Raichu's like on there, and-'
I held up a hand to stop him. I was pressing the button to change it into a DSDex, but it wasn't working. It was stuck. I pressed L and R. The Heartgold game glowed purple, and a landslide of small stones streamed out of it. We backed hurriedly out of the base to avoid being buried up to our knees. Glaceon's Brothers and Sisters crowded round us, and we checked everyone was alright. I picked up one of the stones that had slid out of the door, and looked at it. It was slightly pointed at the ends, and was translucent, with a bolt of lightning in it's middle, like a large, jagged marble.
'I was wondering how these would fit into our world, thought we'd need some eventually. Well played.'
'Ha, thanks, although, we may not need QUITE this many.'
'No. We'll pack them up later. Let's deal with these birds-'
I was stopped by a noise from a bulge in the air. Inside the shop, where I'd been standing, the air was bulging and warping. Then a beam of purple light broke free, and there was a strong wind blowing round us. The eevee's huddled together and Glaceon leapt between them and the light, as energy crackled in the space, and voices could be heard.
'IIIIAAAAA! Watch out on the left!'
'Oh god! Here they come!'
'If this is only a patrol, I'd hate to see the army!'
'En Gua-ah!'
'What?'
'My sword! Something swallowed up my sword!'
I ducked as a long, shining blade with a dazzling golden hilt flew from the rip in the air and embedded itself in the wall behind me. Then there was a long sound, as if from a horn, and a mighty roar. The rip seemed to bulge again, and there was high pitched, almost robotic laughter, a weird noise, a thin beam of light shot from the rip and narrowly missed Sammy, and then a shrill whirring sound. The rip bulged once more, and Happiny threw a fire stone at it. It vanished into the light, and Jonny grabbed Happiny, scooping her up into his arms. My shoulder tingled, and the tear closed.
'What. Was. That?!'
We still have no idea.
